Glove Standards event feedback

"I found the event really useful. One of the key takeaways for me, was understanding what the industry is doing. It is really beneficial that Safeaid has come forward to identify the key changes that I can take back to our sector.”

W Darwin, HSE Assurance & Governance Manager, Tarmac

Face-Fit-Testing

Training in the proper use and care of respirators has been mandatory in the COSHH (Control of Substances Hazardous to Health) regulations since 1989.

The 2002 revision of these regulations and the Approved Code of Practice (ACoP) now require that fit testing of Respiratory Protective Equipment (RPE) be carried out.

We offer the accredited Fit2Fit, on-site RPE Fit Testing service as well as ‘Train the Trainer’ courses, where our skilled professional staff provide your own people with the skills to enable them to carry out the fit testing of wearers with complete confidence. For more information, please get in touch.

Manual Handling Training

Under the Manual Handling Operations Regulations, additional duties are placed on employers to avoid hazardous manual handling operations so far as is reasonably practicable. These include the requirement to assess unavoidable manual handling operations and to take steps to reduce the risk of injury from such operations, so far as is reasonably practicable.

We provide training courses which cover the essentials of good manual handling practices and what, as an employer, you need to know, to meet your obligations and keep your workforce safe and free from injury. For more information, please get in touch.

Abrasive Wheels Training

Abrasive Wheels training is designed to provide those who work in the construction industry and other trade professionals with an in-depth understanding of abrasive wheel safety regulation, risk control and compliance.

The training courses we provide cover what an abrasive wheel is, key legislation and guidance, the common hazards, selection and handling of wheels, safe use of wheels, the use of personal protective equipment and respiratory protective equipment and controlling the risk posed by dust.
